Foraging Nettle...

Foraging Nettle...

Nature has our backs! Just as we are moving away from what at least to me feels like a prolonged winter, our bodies are feeling it. For me the best approach to avoid feeling exhausted and to cleanse and boost my metabolism is to drink nettle tea from young nettle shoots. Nettles are considered a tonic for fatigue and adrenal exhaustion as they are knows to support adrenal glands and endocrine system.

It is recommended to drink the tea for approximately two weeks and then take a break. I, in an addition consume nettle seeds almost daily to help prevent exhaustion, and this has been a great support of mine during the whole winter, especially when dealing with young kids. Nettle is rich in iron, calcium, magnesium, manganese, silicon, beta-carotene, folic acid and vitamin C and nettle seeds are the most nutritious part of nettle.

They contain all the goodies of nettle, vitamin A and C, iron, calcium, magnesium and silicon. Sometimes it is the other way around, when feeling physically strong my mental health is functioning better.
