Design for wellbeing

"Our wellbeing is defined by the quality of our conscious relationship with nature.”

The more we disconnect from nature, the more we lose touch with ourselves and each other, often seeking fulfilment in material things. This not only depletes our energy and potential but also significantly strains the planet's resources and its precious life. Such disconnection robs us of the beauty and future of our world.

At Mind Nature Studio, our mission is to reinforce our connection with nature through various projects that benefit all beings, ensuring a thriving future. We are a Non-Profit Community Interest Company, and all assets are dedicated to supporting community activities.

As a design-led interdisciplinary studio, we focus on providing sustainable solutions through a variety of projects, including landscape and art installations, in-person and online workshops, local events, and guided walks and talks, all centred on deepening our conscious connection with nature and ourselves.

Sustainable wellbeing

“Sustainable wellbeing is achieved when our wellbeing as individuals improves the wellbeing of our communities and the natural environment.”

Sustainable wellbeing: the foundation of our design approach

Our designs cultivate a conscious relationship with nature by including elements that encourage us to become aware of the behaviours or thought patterns that limit us.

As a part of nature, we too are made up of the 5 elements or building blocks of nature, Earth, Fire, Water, Air and Space. Connecting with these different elements inside us is a pathway to deep self-connection and understanding. It is also understood by many wisdom traditions that illnesses of body and mind can be understood by elemental imbalance. The symptoms of this imbalance can be thought of as messengers, singing out a need. Connecting to the elements allows us to call ourselves into alignment and balance, finding sacred harmony.

In formulating our designs to achieve sustainable wellbeing, we draw on research and traditions from multiple disciplines, including psychology, anthropology, herbalism and ecology.
