Everything you need to know about the process
DESIGNING PUBLIC GARDENS AND COMMUNITY GREEN SPACES
"Members of the community who will use the communal space are integral to the design process.
The Briefing Session Our initial consultation is open to all interested participants, offering an opportunity to connect and establish a foundation of trust. From this meeting, we gather key insights to shape a nature-inspired workshop that further enriches and informs the creative process.
Discovery Workshop The discovery workshop offers a wonderful opportunity to dive deeper into designing your community space. Through enjoyable and imaginative activities, we explore our connection with nature in delightful and unexpected ways — strengthening the bonds between everyone involved.
Design and Consensus The design process unfolds in two stages — a preliminary design followed by a final design. All interested parties are invited to share their feedback following the preliminary design presentation, which is carefully considered and thoughtfully integrated into the final design.
Monitoring Upon completion, you will receive a comprehensive monitoring and maintenance plan to ensure the long-term success and vitality of your communal space.
CASE STUDY - 'MINDFUL LISTENING'
GARDEN
The 'Mindful Listening' garden addresses the growing need to support mental wellbeing and reduce health inequalities. At its heart lies a transformative five-step guided experience, gently empowering visitors to cultivate the art of mindful listening — strengthening relationships, reducing stress and anxiety, and creating ripples of positive change within communities and beyond.
Flourishing within a welcoming natural environment, the garden is open to all ages and designed with accessibility at its core, welcoming individuals with a diverse range of physical and sensory needs. A specially enhanced acoustic space offers a dedicated place for collective experience — whether through music, storytelling, comedy, yoga, or meditation — inviting moments that enlighten the mind and nourish the spirit.
Serving as a sanctuary for inner exploration, the garden's thoughtfully designed natural setting nurtures self-discovery and deepens our ability to listen to our inner voice. Born from interdisciplinary research and rooted in social, economic, and environmental sustainability, its versatile design adapts beautifully to diverse settings — green spaces, schools, universities, hospitals, businesses, and festivals — bringing the gift of mindful listening wherever it is needed most.
